"The Weeping Tree"
This is a painting of a beautiful healthy tree
that seems to be weeping over the decayed
and fallen tree that stood beside it.
I took a photograph and sketched the tree while
I was visiting and later painted it on paper.
The tree is on a mountainside at
cordeValle in San Martin.
